Two Spoon Farm

A Pasture-based CSA

Offering Grass and Organic Grain-fed Meats

Two Spoon Farm is dedicated to the sustainable use of our pasture and forest to provide healthy food for our community, while maintaining the ecological strength, diversity, and beauty of our natural landscape.

We graze cattle, sheep, chickens, turkeys and pigs in a complementary rotation that benefits all the livestock and increases the fertility of the pasture. All supplementary feed is certified organic. We invite our members or interested folks to visit us at the farm to see first-hand the nature of our farming practices rather than entrust your food to a third party certification. Come on and muddy your boots!

Situated on the southern crest of Carpenter Hill in Pownal, Vermont, the panoramic view from the pasture at Two Spoon Farm takes in the Taconic, Berkshire and Green Mountains as they frame the Hoosick River Valley. As a CSA member you literally own stock in our farm and so our gates are open to you. In addition we’ll be offering educational and recreational opportunities throughout the seasons.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) fosters the relationship between you, the farmers, the farm, and the food we eat. Becoming a member of Two Spoon Farm CSA means you’ve not only secured a supply of fresh, local, healthy meat for the year, but that you’ve contributed to the long-term viability of our local food economy. All memberships begin with a completed order form and a deposit of $100. Then, 50% of your approximate balance will be due by August 1st, and final payment will be on the last pick-up date. This provides us with working capital, which frees us from further marketing and enables us to focus on the stewardship of the farm. Think about your needs for the entire year when placing your order, and fill up your freezer with local seasonal food!
